Gubernatorial Election: Kano Governor votes, expresses optimism of winning

Kano state governor Dr. Umar Ganduje has cast his vote at the Ganduje Chikin Gari polling unite with code 08 stressing that he is optimistic of winning the gubernatorial election.

The governor shortly after casting his vote 10:30am local time said he’s bound to garner more vote than what was gathered during the last two weeks presidential election

“I will gather more votes than the last election and sure to win against my opponents.”

He commended INEC for prompt deployment materials and personnel to polling unite on time, which aided early commencement.

He called on voters to exercise their franchise peacefully, go home and wait for the results.

He also applauded security agencies for the measures so far implemented to ensure security of lives and properties.

Meanwhile the governorship candidate of PDP, Abah Kabir Yusufu has also voted in his Charanchi polling unit, commending INEC and urging people vote peacefully.
