Nasarawa state is fully prepared for the Governorship and House of Assembly elections slated for Saturday 9th of March 2019.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Uthman Ajidagba who stated this in his office in Lafiya, the Nasarawa state capital, added that all the sensitive and non materials have been moved to the Registration Area Centres (RACs).
“We have distributed materials across the local government areas and in turn our electoral officers have shared out the materials across the Registration Area Centres. The summary is that we are good to go.” Mr. Ajidagba said.
He also said that extra card readers have been provided to address the issue of faulty card readers witnessed during the Presidential elections.
He also said that ”the use of card readers is mandatory and any vote generated without the card readers will be cancelled.
He added that Nasarawa state being a peace loving state is expected to remain peaceful during and after the election.
