Gubernatorial Election: women in Kano troop out en masse to vote

More women have trooped out to vote in the ongoing Gubernatorial and state Assembly Elections in Kano north-western Nigeria.

The polling stations visited so far by our Correspondent in the state observed that more women are seen on the queue.

When interviewed, 70 years old Hajiya Maimuna said “women are open minded and we are voting for our choice”

In the areas visited also showed that the card readers are functioning properly and the voting process were normal against the slow process experienced in the Presidential Election.

Also at the Library polling unit in Municipal Local Government Women turnout was also encouraging as voting started at about 9 am.
