Gubernatorial, State Assembly elections kick off earlier in Lagos

The 2019 Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections kicked off early in many parts of Lagos State.
The new development was attributed to the prompt arrival of the INEC officials.
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC officials were commended for arriving early to their respective polling stations, compared to what obtained during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections.
It was gathered that some INEC officials arrived at 7am which made the exercise to commenced at 8am stated time.
At Ward A5, polling unit 033 and 057, Ogunmodede College, Ajaganabe Area, Papa, in Epe, where the Governor of Lagos state, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode will be casting his ballot, there was massive turnout of voters, orderly on their queues, as at the time of filling in this report.
Security agencies were on ground to prevent any unforeseen violence and other acts that can undermine the electoral process.
