Hajj 2019: Gombe Pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia,commend officials

Speaking to Voice of Nigeria  on phone were some Pilgrims who arrived Madina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, among the speakers, was Sulaiman Musa, a Special Assistant to the Gombe State Governor on Media and Publicity,he commended the officials for the organized and  hitch free check at Airport, arranged transportation and hotels accommodation at Madina.

Musa said the journey was hitch free right from Gombe to their arrival in Madina, he said all pilgrims arrived Prince Muhammad Ibn Abdullazzez international Airport Madina kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Good conditions.

He added that first batch of Gombe State’s pilgrims, were warmly welcomed by the Gombe state indigenes who are students of the Islamic University of Madina, and officials of Gombe State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He said, the Gombe State students offered free services to the Pilgrims, the services comprises, arranging Pilgrims at the Airport for transportation to their Hotels, accompanying them, preaching what Pilgrims will do during their stay in Madina, they took them to visit tourist locations like; Uhud, Raudah, Baqiah, Masjid Qiblatain, and many more in Madina.

Pilgrims are expected to stay in Madina for some days before they proceed to Holly land (Makkah) for Hajj and Umrah, while those  that will arrive during Proper Hajj performing period will begin with Hajj, before going to Madina.

Sulaiman said they had visited most of the sights in Madina in two days, with the help of Gombe Students in Madina and the Gombe state Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board officials.

The Pilgrims also commended the provision of qualitative medical team and equipment, for Pilgrims,although non of the Pilgrims  had fallen sick.

Gombe State, Muslims Pilgrims welfare board has airlifted 560 Pilgrims in first batch to Saudi Arabia, on 20 July 2019, the  remaining 900 Pilgrims will travel in second and third batches Thursday 25 and Saturday 27 July 2019 respectively, that completes 1460 number of Registered Pilgrims under State Muslims Pilgrims welfare board Gombe 2019.

Sulaiman Musa commended all Pilgrim’s guides sponsored to be guiding them on what to do during the Hajj exercise.

In the Hajj operation schedule the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria is responsible for providing accommodation, Transportation and feeding in Madina, while States will do same for Pilgrims during their stay in Makkah, which is longer than  the stay in Madina.
