A 15 man National Medical Advance Team from Nigeria has left for Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad while bidding them farewell, advised the team to remain steadfast in the discharge of their responsibilities and to give pilgrims the best attention they deserve.

He had earlier warned them not to give any individual special treatment to the detriment of Nigerian pilgrims who happen to be their primary constituents.

He also prayed for the success of the operations and urged them to also pray for the success of Nigeria as a whole and the success of the 2019 hajj exercise.

In his remarks, the National Medical Team leader, Dr Ibrahim Kana, enjoined the medical practitioners to be respectful to pilgrims, treat them well and to adhere to their duties.

He reminded them that they are in Saudi Arabia primarily to work and not for worship therefore they must not abandon their places of duty for the other, not even on Fridays.

Dr Kana warned the members that they could be recalled to duty post when situation demands notwithstanding whether they are off duty.

He further advised them to respect regulations and laws of Saudi Arabia at all times.
