Hajj Commission advance team departs to Saudi Arabia

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has bid farewell to its official team as they set out to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in preparation to receive the Nigerian pilgrims.

The advanced team left for Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The advanced team for this year’s hajj operations consist of a total number of 41 members of NAHCON staff.

Good ambassadors
The Acting Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Abdullahi Muktar urged members of the team to be good ambassadors of the nation.

Abdullah said that ”they should justify the confidence reposed in all of them and ensure that they discharge their duties to the best of their ability for they are privileged to serve the guest of Allah.”

He emphasised that the main goal was to render their services to make the intending pilgrims to have values for their money to enable them perform their Hajj rites with comforts ,joy and return safely to their loved ones.

Abdullah urged the officials to solve any problem confronted by any pilgrim.

Speaking further, he said ”respect for seniority should be adhered strictly and principles of brotherhood should be exhibited.”

“You should respect each other and obey rules and regulations of your job as well as that of the Kingdom of Saudi,”Abdullah stressed.

He further called on the members of the Team to pray for the Nation, the leadership and a successful 2019 hajj operations.
