I remain committed to services – Abuja Council Chairman

Hudu Yakubu, Abuja

The Chairman elect Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido has reiterated his commitment to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the Council.

The Chairman made this known to journalists after receiving his certificate of return for his second term from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abuja, Nigeria.

He said: “I remain committed to services.”

While dedicating his tenure to God and the people of the Council, Candido promise to spread infrastructural development across the twelve wards.

According to him, the results that conceded victory to his candidacy in the last Council’s election has called for reflection to be humble and commit more to efficient service delivery that would justify the trust the people of AMAC has in his administration.

The Chairman noted that:”We are going to provide infrastructural development through human and manpower development by ensuring that with humility, we still provide this service so the people don’t get disturbed that they made a wrong mistake.”

“By the grace of God, I keep assuring the residents of AMAC that they are going to be proud of whom they elected as the chairman,” he emphasized.

While responding to the question on position of APC in the FCT due to shaky results recorded in some areas in the just concluded general elections across six area councils, Hon. Candido expressed confidence that APC will reclaim its driving position soon in the FCT.

He added: “APC still stand tall in the comity of political parties. Forget about little shake up in the tap root.

“APC still remains number one political party in FCT and it remains so by the grace of God,” he concluded.
