I want to keep Super Eagles number 10 Jersey – Joe Aribo

Super Eagles newbie Joe Aribo says he want to keep the number ten shirt of the Super Eagles of Nigeria after wearing it in his debut game where he scored for Nigeria in a 2-2 friendly game against Ukraine,

The Super Eagles number ten shirt is vacant following the retirement of captain John Obi Mikel with Aribo becoming the first player to dorn the number following Mikel’s retirement and he says he want to keep the shirt.

The Rangers of Scotland midfielder said he is looking forward to more games for the Super Eagles in the number ten shirt.

” I won’t mind continuing with the number. It gave me luck in my debut game and hopefully I will wear it in future games if I am called up by coach of the team”,

Expected to be in the squad for the friendly against Brazil on the 13th of October, the midfielder said the game will further test the distance the team has come under coach Gernot Rohr after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

” Those are the type of game players look forward to and it’s no different for me. It will be a test of how far we have come as a team after the Africa Cup of Nations. It’s a game I have to admit I want to play in badly”, he concluded.
