INEC confident of credible governorship election in Kogi

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has expressed confidence towards the successful conduct of the forthcoming Saturday’s Governorship election in Kogi state, North central Nigeria.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Kogi state, Mr. James Apam who made this known this during an interview with Voice of Nigeria Correspondent, said that the sensitive and non-sensitive materials have been deployed to the Registration Area Centres for the Saturday’s election.

Mr. Apam also informed that the accreditation and voting will simultaneously take off by 8am till 4pm when the last person on the queue might have voted.

He appealed to the people to conduct themselves in an orderly and peaceful manner while trying to exercise their franchise.

He however assured that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the security of lives and properties of the people before, during and after the election saying that movement of people would be restricted from 8am to 4pm on the election day.
