Insecurity: Babangida urges government to find lasting solution

Former Military president of Nigeria General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has urged the government and well meaning Nigerians to proffer a lasting solution to the numerous Challenges facing the Country

General Babangida who expressed concerns over the lingering insecurity bedevilling parts of Nigeria further described Nigeria as a very complex and vibrant society.

“For everything you do, somebody is there to know whether you are right or wrong”.

The former Military president of Nigeria stated this on Tuesday in his residence in Minna North Central Nigeria, when Honourable Ndudi Elumelu, the Minority leader of the Nigerian House of Representatives and some members paid him a visit.

General Babangida further challenged political leaders in the country to be determined, resilient and be prepared to do the wishes of the citizenry, as the country is blessed with very vibrant people.

The Minority Leader of the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Honourable Ndudi Elumelu while speaking mentioned that their visit to the former Military President of Nigeria  is merely  to get a  fatherly advice on how to pilot the affairs of the House of Representatives and proffer solutions to the Challenges ahead.

“We are here to ask for your fatherly advice. The country is facing challenges especially insecurity and this is happening in Nigeria. We believed coming here will give us ample opportunity of getting fatherly advice on the way we will pilot the affairs of the House. “

Members of the entourage of the Minority Leader include the Minority Whip, Honorable Gibbion Gwari and Deputy Minority Whip,  Honorable Adekoya Adesegun.

Others includes Honorable Efe Afe, Honorable Kpam Jimin Sokpo, Honorable Robert Tyough, Honorable Soyinka Anjola, Honorable Femi Bamishele, Honorable Benjamin Mzondu and Honorable Samuel Onuigbo.
