Insecurity: NSCDC directs Commanders to re-strategise

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Command has directed Area Commanders and Divisional officers to step up measures in curbing the threats kidnapping and banditry bedevilling the State.

The Commandant, Babangida Dutsinma who gave the directive while addressing the officers in Kaduna said, the action has become necessary to forestall reoccurrence of similar incidence this year.

Dutsinma urged officers and men of the Command to strengthen synergy with sister agencies, traditional, religious institution and residents with the view to enhancing security of lives and properties.

The Commandant stressed the need for members of the public to collaborate with the corps and other agencies to enable them deliver on their mandates.

The aim of the meeting with Area Commanders and Divisional Officers was to review activities of the formations last year in order to develop achievable goals in the current year.

The State NSCDC boss specifically decried incidence of kidnapping and banditry, reiterating that renewed efforts must be ensured to bring it to an end.
