Exam Board incurs over N500 million excessive fees in one week

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB says it has incurred excessive fees in it’s attempt to perfect operations towards the conduct of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

A Weekly bulletin published by the Statutory Assessment body revealed that a total sum of N517,975,349.35 has been recorded as payment for bank charges on remittance, Staff Claims, legal consultancy , agency services such as MTN and Airtel Network services providers among others.

The publication explained that the expenses were incurred  seven days after the board opened it’s portal for candidates willing to sit for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination .

Information on financial inflow of the agency revealed that a total sum of N50,446,404.00 has been realised on e-facilities and sales while a total of N22,856,720.00 has equally been raked in from Computer Based Test, CBT centre service charge.
