Asma'u Halilu.

The wife of Kaduna State Governor, Ummi El-Rufai, has begun a tour to appreciate the people of Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna for re-electing her husband as governor.
She told them her husband Governor Nasiru El-Rufai would redouble his efforts in service delivery to the people by fulfilling all the party’s campaign promises.
According to the wife of Governor, the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development is drawing out modalities to empower women across the State by granting them loans.
Appreciating the warm reception given to her by the people of Jaji, Afaka and Rigachikun/Barakallahu communities, all within Igabi LCA, she said, the visit was in fulfillment of her promise to thank them if her husband was re-elected into office.

Receiving Mrs El-Rufai at his residence in Rigachikun, the Kaduna State Deputy Speaker, Yusuf Zailani expressed gratitude for the visit and applauded the Governor’s efforts in providing Igabi Local Council with road linkages, hospital expansion and groundnutoill company.

He however mentioned that, a lot of people across the LGA own over a hundred thousand hectres of farm land but lack capital to engage in both rainy and dry season farming.
Zailani, therefore, called on the government to provide loan to these farmers in order to boost food production in the State.
The Deputy Speaker also solicited the support of loan disbursement for women, saying, if provided, it will go a long way in helping them support their respective families.
In Jaji, the District Head, Rigachikun and environs, Malam Abdurrasheed Sani said they felt honored and gladdened by the appreciation visit.
He pleaded with the government to improve and expand the community’s clinic, empower youths and also provide portable water to enhance their livelihood.
His counterpart, the District Head of Afaka community, Sani Umar who along other tribal leaders received Mrs El-Rufai, applauded government for building a hospital for them, as well as constructing the road between Mashi/Gwari road to Rigasa Community.
But Umar, however, urged the government to provide them with more road linkages as those available within the community were not enough.
During the visit to the different communities, Mrs El-Rufai also distributed some items to the communities.
