Kaduna  rescues seven Offa kidnapped victims

‎Kaduna State Government has received the seven rescued kidnapped victims of Offa who were abducted along Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday.

Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan commended the Army for the successful operation that led to the rescue of the victims.‎

‎Aruwan assured that the victims would be taken to the hospital for medical check up before handing them over to the leadership of Offa Descendants Union, Kaduna State chapter.

No Ransom was Paid
The Commissioner said that no ransom was paid to the bandits before rescuing the seven victims.‎

“The victims were rescued due to doggedness of our troops and so no ransom was paid‎. We are thankful to the military for rescuing the victims,” he said.

He urged travellers to be cautious of ‎travelling at night and early in the mornings.

Receiving the victims, Chairman of the Offa Descendants in Kaduna, Professor  Tijjani Olanisimi thanked the State Government and the Nigerian Military for rescuing the victims.

According to him, since the victims were abducted, their family members had sleepless nights.

He called on the government and security agencies in particular to be more proactive in order to end kidnapping along Kaduna-Abuja highway.

Olanisimi further mentioned that, Nigerians are really disturbed with the increased news of kidnapping along Kaduna-Abuja.
