Asma'u Halilu, Kaduna

Residents of Kaduna State have applauded the State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai for the development projects executed, in compliance with the APC campaign promises.

In an interview conducted by Voice of Nigeria during an appreciation tour by the wife of the Governor, Mrs Aisha Ummi El-Rufai within Kaduna North, the residents said, unlike previous administrations, the Governor has succeeded in making reforms that have direct impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.

Some of the women, who reside in Unguwan Rimi, Kaduna North Local Government Council explained that, the Primary Healthcare, PHC in their community has been upgraded and well equipped.

A resident, Bala Kassim mentioned that, Unguwan Rimi has also been captured in the Kaduna Renewal Projects which represents an important investment in the present and future of the Capital city.

“Roads would be constructed  and delivered to World class standard with markings, solar lighting and shoulders. Roads captured for construction and upgrading within Unguwan Rimi include Alkali road, Tafawa Balewa way, Swimming pool, Kinshasa, Shehu Laminu to Ramat roads,” Kassim said.

According to Hadizatu Yaro, another resident, “government is building more classrooms in LGEA primary school Unguwan Rimi to accommodate more pupils. Before the inception of Governor El-Rufai’s administration, people built illegal shops by the fence of the school, which posed danger to the children but the Governor has succeeded in sending them packing in order to secure the school environment.”

Another resident, Aisha Mani said, “what impresses me more is the installation of traffic lights in Unguwan Rimi, which we only see on major roads in other towns. The installation will help regulate traffic especially when schools resume.”

Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Kaduna North Council, Saleh Shu’aibu, expressed appreciation for the visit by APC Gida-Gida team and the support given to the Council by the Governor.

Working with State Government
He assured that the LGA will continue to work closely with the State government in order to deliver services to the people.

“Government has made reforms and carried out projects, we will therefore support the Governor in our own capacity to also achieve the set goals,” Shu’aibu said.

Shu’aibu also reiterated their commitment towards ensuring government fulfills their promises to the good people of Kaduna State.

Meanwhile, The Wife of Kaduna State Governor, Mrs. Ummi El-Rufai, said Governor El-Rufai-led administration would continue to prioritize issues related  to youths and women.

According to her, “this can be seen in my Husband’s cabinet where a lot of youth and women were appointed to help deliver services to the citizens. The Governor is committed to fulfilling all his campaign promises so that people can enjoy the dividends of democracy.”

She thanked the youths for being law abiding and ensuring that peace was enjoyed across the State.

The District head of Gabasawa, Shitu Dikko and his counterpart, the District Head of Kawo, Muhammed Yahaya, both appreciated Mrs Ummi El-Rufai for the tour and promised to continue soliciting support for government to achieve the required people-centered and oriented goals.
