Kaduna to complete 300 bed space specialist hospital

Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe says the ultra modern 300 bed space specialist hospital under construction is expected to be completed in nine months.

She stated in an interview shortly after an inspection tour of the hospital project site at the new Kaduna mellineun city.

Dr Hadiza explained that the work which was kick started during former Governor, Namadi Sambo’s tenure has recommenced and is making progress.

According to her, equipment for the hospital are already on ground as goverment awaits completion of the hospital project.

“When completed, it would be one of the largest hospitals in Kaduna metropolis. And being a specialist hospital, oncology and research units would be incorporated for the treatment of cancer as well as research of complex health cases”.

She noted that, the hospital would be handling cases that are beyond general hospitals in the State as Doctors specialized in different fields will be invited to attend to patients.

“These Doctors would work with our own Doctors employed in the State so that eventually they get trained in the long run.

And we have component of apprehension and research, they would be providing answers to some disease conditions that might not be commonly seen within our general hospital”, Hadiza added.

Also speaking at the project site, the Chairperson, Igabi Local Government Area, Hajiya Hadiza Yahuza applauded goverment for revisiting the project, saying, it will go a long way in providing alternatives for the people of the State.
