Kaduna state first lady, Ummi El-Rufai has assured its residents that the governor is drawing out modalities to further improve their lives.
She stated this while on an appreciation tour to the Hayin Danbushiya community.
“My husband will do his best in fulfilling all campaign promises and also ensure service delivery. The second phase of the loan disbursement for women empowerment will soon commence and many women from across the state will benefit,” he said.
In interviews conducted by Voice of Nigeria, one of the women said: “There has never been a time when any Governor’s wife visited to thank us after elections. We feel honored and grateful for the gifts of slippers and food items.
According to another resident of Hayin Danbushiya community, Saratu Umar: “I am grateful to this administration because I happen to be a beneficiary of the loan disbursed to women by the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, ” adding that, the capacity of her poultry farm had expanded from 50 to 200 birds.
Also speaking, the District Head of Hayin Danbushiya, Muktar Haruna expressed gratitude for her visit, saying re-electing Governor El-Rufai was necessary so that he could complete the projects he had started in their community.
“The Governor recently observed Juma’at prayers with us here in Danbushiya and promised to build a secondary school for our community. He has also made provision for a bigger market after relocating us from the previous market,” he stressed.
Haruna added that immediately after the Governor’s re-election, he announced road construction in various communities across the State and “our community is lucky to be a beneficiary”.
The Governor’s wife appreciated their support towards her husband and prayed to God to strengthen the bond between the community and government.
The Kaduna Polytechnic Quarters Women Association, represented by Hajiya Aisha Hadi, assured of her of their continuous support for the government.
Mrs El-Rufai has visited Rigasa, Rafinguza, Badarawa, Unguwar Dosa and Poly Quarters in Kaduna as part of her thank you tour.
