The Kaduna State Police Command says it has put machineries in place to arrest the fleeing gunmen that killed four people in Kafanchan during the weekend.

The Command’s spokesman, ASP Mukhtar Aliyu, gave the assurance in an interview in Kaduna.

Aliyu said the security operatives had been deployed to fish out the suspects, stating: “we will not relent until we get them to face the law.

“There is a joint operation called Operation Save Heaven and more operatives have been deployed to the affected area to avert further breach of law and order.”

He said the situation in the area has been put to a complete calm, and promised that the police will not relent until the perpetrators of the crime are arrested.

He appealed to the residents to go about their lawful businesses, assuring that the police remains committed to their constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property.

“We urge the public to always give the security operatives useful information,” he emphasised.

It could be recalled that, on the 11th Feb, unknown gunmen killed two males and two females at Bakin Koji, a village in Jema’a Local Government Area while they were tapping palm wine in the farm.
