Kano Governor trains 200 youths on modern automobile repairs

Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has trained and empowered 200 youths in the provisioning of modern automobile repair services in the state with cost component of over N500 million Naira.

The youths were trained at the Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) training school in Kaduna.

Ganduje said “N420 Million was spent for the training of the youths at the automobile training school.”

He said another “N80 million was provided for the purchase of tools for the 200 youths trained on repairs and maintenance of vehicles.”

The governor explained that the beneficiaries who were drawn from different tribes of the country received N50,000 each as take-off grant to start up their business. .

Earlier graduates of the PAN Training School sponsored by the Kano state government were also empowered in addition to the ultra modern auto service stations built across the state for them free of charge.

He said the initiative is part of the drive to curb unemployment and youth restiveness in the state.

Ganduje has empowered over 1.5 million youths in different skills since the inception of his administration.
