Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is hell-bent on not returning to the pitch.
In fact, he is ready to sit-out for the rest of the English Premier League season.
Kante has two reasons: fear of the possibility of contacting the coronavirus as well as his family history of heart problems.
Kante lost his older brother to a heart attack just weeks before the World Cup in 2018.
A few months earlier, the player himself fainted in training before being given a clean bill of health.
After participating in training on Tuesday, he has opted out from small-group training at Cobham the rest of this week and going forward.
Fortunately, he has the full support of the Chelsea hierarchy, including coach Frank Lampard.
