Kogi Election: FCT Minister of State delivers Ward

The Minister of State, Nigerian Federal capital territory administration, FCTA, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has delivered her ward and polling unit to the governorship candidate of her party, the All Progressive Congress, APC, and the incumbent governor of Kogi state, Governor Yahaya Bello.

Dr Aliyu also delivered her ward and polling unit to the candidate of the APC in the Senatorial seat which is being rerun after appeal court judgement that nullified the election of Senator Dino Melaye.

The Minister at her Kakanda ward in the Kogi governorship election delivered 5,632 votes to the candidate of her party, APC, Gov Yahaya Bello as announced by the INEC presiding officer, Dr Okor H I at the ward to beat his closer rival and the candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Musa Wada who scored 1,109.

While at the Senatorial seat which is being rerun after appeal court judgement that nullified the election of Senator Dino Melaye, Dr Aliyu delivered 4,907 to the candidate of her party, APC, Senator Smart Adeyemi to defeat his rival at the ward, Senator Dino Melaye who gathered 2,013.

Dr Aliyu at her yagba polling unit polled 350 votes for Governor Yahaya Bello of the APC to defeat his close rival and the candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Musa Wada who scored 62 vote.

And in that of Senatorial seat, she delivered 480 vote to the APC candidate, Smart Adeyemi at her polling unit to beat his closer rival Senator Dino Melaye 53 votes.

Meanwhile collation of results for the Saturday Gubernatorial and Senatorial election of the Kogi West is still on-going across the state and the Senatorial district
