Kwara deploys 4,000 security personnel for eid-l-fitr

Four thousand Police officers have been deployed to maintain a robust anti crime patrol and effective surveillance operations throughout the Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Kwara State.

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Ag Cp Kayode Egbetokun said the deployment was necesssary so that members of the public would celebrate without any fear of molestation and remain law abiding.

The Commissioner, on behalf of officers and men of the Kwara State Command wishes to extend warm felicitation to Muslims as they celebrate Eid El Fitri.

he said the Command was assuring the people of Kwara State of its adequate preparation for a hitch free celebration.

The police boss advised travelers  to board vehicles at recognised motor parks.

He said the Command’s emergency lines 09033871133, 07015338157, 08070734277 and 08125275046 are active, and members of the public are advised to take advantage of them to report crime and give information to the police.

He added that suspicious movements or strange objects noticed should also be reported immediately.
