The Kwara State government is to explore alternative source of energy to solve the power problem facing the State.
The State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi disclosed in Ilorin, the State capital, while receiving Executive of the State Chapter, Nigeria Union of Tailors led by its Acting President, Yinusa Alamu in his office.
Mr Alabi explained that the government would look into the possibility of making use of the abundant solar energy to generate power for the benefit of the people.
The Deputy Governor promised that the Union would be given due attention to make them function effectively.
On the issue of their plea for reduction of tax, he noted that tax is being collected to provide infrastructure and make life better for the citizenry.
Alamu pledged their support to the government and called on it to look into the possibility of reducing the tax currently being paid by its members.
