Lawmaker tasks government on adoption of modern tools for security agencies

The Nigerian Government has been urged to equip the nation’s security agencies with modern tools, resources and the political will to succeed in the fight against insecurity.

A member of the House of Representatives from Plateau State, Mr.Solomon Bulus, made the call while briefing the National Assembly Correspondents on the deteriorating security situation in the country.

Mr Bulus, said about twenty-six lives have been lost to attacks by bandits in his constituency, which has also resulted in the displacement of over five thousand women and children without food, water and shelter.

The lawmaker also appealed to the International Human Right Organisation to evoke the chatter on right to life and instruct the United Nations to come to the aid of the people.
