Lille manager, Christophe Galtier, has allayed fears Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is out for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being stretchered off in their French League Cup match against Monaco on Tuesday.
Monaco was substituted in the 23rd minute after picking up and injury and was taken to the hospital immediately.
He had earlier scored Lille’s first goal in the 19th minute from an assist by Jonathan Ikone.
Osimhen’s replacement, Loic Remy, scored two more goals to give Lille a 3-0 victory.
Giving an update, Galtier said Osimhen is fine and has not sustained any serious injury.
“Victor experienced dizziness and some pain and was taken to hospital. We just got news that everything is back to normal. We talked with him and he’s fine now,” Lille quoted Galtier on their Twitter page.Osimhen has scored 12 goals for Lille since moving from Sporting Charleroi in August.
