The Super Eagles of Nigeria have extended their lead against the Seychelles Islands in a 2019 AFCON qualifier being played in Victoria, Seychelles, as Odion Ighalo converted a penalty on 57 minutes to give them a 3-0 lead.
Earlier Saudi-based Ahmed Musa put the Nigerian side in front on when he hit a thunder bolt first time from outside the box with the ball hitting the bar and on ricocheting off the keeper’s back on 15 minutes.
It was 2-0 on 34 minutes after Kelechi Iheanacho’s freekick hit the crossbar, leaving defender Chidozie Awaziem to tap into an empty net.
But Awaziem was stretched off in the 74th minute after a collision.
Was substituted by Semi Ajayi who is making his International debut.
