With Manchester City falling short against Chelsea in their recent bout, Jurgen Klopp and the rest of Liverpool finally secured the Premier League title. This achievement ends the 30-year first league title drought of the organization.

It was during Liverpool’s recent 4-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace that placed the Reds in full control of the season. During the home matchup, several players stepped up to the occasion. Among these were Mohamed Salah and Fabinho as they made their presence felt throughout the match. The pair facilitated the tempo from the midfield with their precise passing and endless energy.

Their dominance in the game was a reflection of how their Premier League season has been. It has been three decades for Liverpool since they won a top-flight title and they’ve been hungry to deliver for their loyal fan base.  With their recent impressive victory, and with Manchester City dropping their matchup against Chelsea, Klopp shared that it was such a surreal experience for him.

Per Liverpool’s official website, the veteran manager shared the vast emotions he had when everything was falling into place.

“I am completely overwhelmed; I don’t know, it’s a mix of everything – I am relieved, I am happy, I am proud, I couldn’t be more proud of the boys,“Klopp said

It has been a unique situation for everyone given the global pandemic that has affected the entire world. Despite this, Klopp was still able to focus on his task and claim history for the club.

“How we watched the game tonight together, we knew it could happen, it couldn’t not happen, we didn’t know. We want to play football and we are really happy that we are allowed to play again – then when it happened in that moment, it was a pure explosion,” Klopp continued.

The anticipation was immense for Liverpool as they were monitoring the entire situation. When the officials finally signaled the end of the match, a plethora of emotion took over the organization.

“Then it was pure…I cannot describe it. It was a really, really nice moment. Directly after it, I felt so empty inside – I cannot believe it, I am really not happy with myself in the moment that I feel like I feel, but it’s just a little bit too much in the moment. I will be fine, nobody has to worry,” Klopp added.

The team’s culture and mindset under Klopp’s leadership helped propel them into this moment. While the team seeks to continuously improve, it is vital also for the club to cherish this special milestone.
