The Deputy Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase has urged Muslims faithfuls to collectively reflect on the virtues, teachings and ideals which the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), exemplified and taught.
In a goodwill message to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), issued by the Chief Press secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the teachings of the Holy Prophet which are anchored on love, peaceful coexistence and harmony.
He said the internalization of the teachings, virtues and ideals of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) will benefit the country as it confronts current security and developmental challenges.
The Deputy Speaker hailed the efforts of religious and traditional rulers to foster national unity and promote the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.
While wishing all Muslims a happy Maulud celebration, Wase urged the Ummah to use the occasion to reflect on the essential lessons of his life and to pray for the continued well-being of the nation.
