The Lord Mayor of London, Charles Bowman says prosperity builds social cohesion and creates stability that ends in security.
Bowman stated this while speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting with Nigerian Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday.
Focus on trade
Bowen said ” focus of his trip to Nigeria was on trade and prosperity.”
he led a delegation that included a member from the London Stock Exchange, a member from the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council and a member who is supporting the Fintech industry.
Bowen said the delegation had a “productive meeting” with the vice president and some ministers.
“We have got five objectives for my trip, providing reassurance that London will remain pre-eminent in promoting innovation in financial and professional services, advancing the strong ties between this great country and the UK, developing bilateral investment and trade opportunities and to engage everyone here as I do in my business trust programme,” he explained.
Advancing Investment Opportunities
He said the meeting focused on building ties, advancing investment opportunities across the sectors as well as on infrastructure.
