A mini Durbar was held on Sunday at the Emir’s palace, Ilorin as part of activities to mark this year’s Eid el Kabir..
The event witnessed display by horse riders, gun shot by local hunters and entertainment by traditional singers.
The exercise which lasted about thirty minutes was witnessed by the Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi, the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Aminu Adisa Logun, the Senator Representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Doctor Yahaya Oloriegbe and eminent sons of the Emirate.
The Deputy Governor later exchanged pleasantries with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after the event, the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi emphasised the need for the people to be faithful and exhibit love as preached by Prophet Ibrahim.
Mr Alabi also called on the people to be peaceful and pray for the success of the present administration to succeed in the task of developing the State.
The Deputy Governor noted that peace would usher and ensure the needed progress and development which the people want.
