Minister directs scholarship payment to students in Russia

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has directed the Federal Scholarship Board to urgently process the payment of scholarship stipends to Nigerian students studying in the Russia.

The Minister gave the directive when the Nigerian Ambassador to Russia and Belarus, Professor Steve Ugba paid him a working visit in his office in Abuja.

Adamu reiterated the commitment of the Nigerian Government to the well being of its students studying abroad, saying that government would prioritise the welfare of the students in diaspora.

The Nigerian Ambassador to Russia informed the Ministers that the students in Russia have remained source of pride to the country, stating that the synergy and solidarity that exist amongst the students and the Nigerian Embassy is strong.

Ambassador Ugba added that the Nigerian embassy in Russia has contributed immensely to the survival of the students in Russia.
