Leader of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, Sheik Ibrahim El Zakzaky arrived in Abuja on Friday and is now in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
He was in India for barely three days, where he went to receive medical treatment.
The leader of the IMN was carried away in an ambulance by security agents to an undisclosed location in Abuja.
A Federal High Court sitting Kaduna granted the IMN leader permission to travel to India for medical treatment to be accompanied by agents of Nigeria’s Secret Service.
While in India, Sheik El Zakzaky rejected treatment at the Medanta Hospital in New Delhi, demanding to be returned to Nigeria to continue his treatment.
