Monarch pledges support for President Buhari

One of the Monarchs in Osun State, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi has pledged to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to achieve success in the next four years.

The monarch was speaking to State House correspondents on Tuesday after meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

“I am here for the development of Nigeria and I believe that traditional rulers should look for what we can do by giving advice and many other ways to use our professionalism and exposure to make Nigeria work,” Oba Akanbi said.

According to the monarch, President Buhari administration has many programmes that it has been executing across Nigeria and has been working to ensure that the programmes are distributed in all parts of the country.

Capable hands
Oba Akanbi says the affairs of Nigeria are now being run by capable hands, which would take it to the comity of nations.

He said that the work of President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo are doing in the country would ensure that sanity is restored in Nigeria.

Describing Professor Osinbajo as “a very intelligent man,” he said that the message he got from the vice president was that of hope.

“I talked to him just now…He has a message of hope,” he stressed.

On Saturday’s governorship and State Assembly elections, Oba Akanbi advised Nigerians to vote for the best candidates.
