NAHCON gets commendation for successful Hajj pilgrimage

The Hajj pilgrims’ welfare board has commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for a successful 2018 pilgrimage.

The Chairman of NAHCON Mr. Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad has expressed appreciation with state Chief Executives of Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards (SPWB), Nigerian pilgrims, the Saudi government and Nigerian President for a successful 2018 Hajj.

Mr. Muhammad thanked President Muhammad Buhari for continually supporting NAHCON and paving the way for it to overcome its challenges.

He however commended Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for overseeing a Hajj season devoid of outbreak of any major diseases, mishaps, and called for more prayers for prosperous Hajj seasons.

Mr. Muhammad has also solicited for proper orientation of pilgrims on the need to comply with luggage regulations to avoid unnecessary delays at screening points in the airports.

About 40 flights have so far transported with 12,000 pilgrims back to Nigeria.

So far, Kogi, Oyo Nasarawa and Federal Capital Territory have concluded movement of pilgrims back to Nigeria while Ogun, Lagos are at the verge of concluding.
