Nasarawa state governor commends voters on peaceful conduct

The governor of Nasarawa state, Mr. Tanko Al-makura has commended the people of the state for a peaceful election.

He was speaking after casting his vote at Lungu Wambai Unit, in Lafia, the state capital.

He however advised youths in the area to maintain the peace existing in communities across the state.

He said that he expects the election across the state to be free and fair.

 “I’m very happy that I have successfully discharged my civic responsibility participating in the general election. And what is even more appealling and exciting is the fact that reports reaching me is that the exercise is going on peacefully across the state. I want to commend the people of Nasarawa state,” he said.

He also warned people who might have in mind to ferment trouble to have a change of mind.

Adding that most of the problems encountered during the previous election was addressed.
