Niger Government calls for peace in Local Government elections

Niger State Governor, in North West Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has reminded politicians in the State on the need to eschew politics of bitterness and other acts that will encroach on the corporate existence of the state and the Country at large as the state prepares for the local government elections.

The Governor mentioned this in a massage celebrating the Eid El Maulud, through his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs Mary Noel Berje, also urges politicians to be cautious on their utterances during the campaigns across all the local Government areas of the state.

“Politicians should eschew Politics of bitterness and other acts that will encroach on the corporate existence of the state during their campaigns across the state.”

The Governor, who further reminded Muslims in the State on the Islamic doctrine of peace, unity and tolerance, enjoins the Muslims on the need to continue praying for the promotion and   integration of Nigeria as a Country.

The Governor further urges Muslims in the State to uphold the Principles of unity, peace and tolerance practiced by Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) as they mark the Eid el Maulud across the State.

“Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and indeed Islam preaches peace, unity and tolerance which are equally necessary for building a virile society.”

Governor Sani Bello of Niger State in North Central Nigeria, however pledges to remain steadfast in pursuance of peace, unity and progress of the State.
