Niger State flags off dualization of road project

The Niger State government in north central Nigeria, has commenced the dualization of Minna City Gate-chanchaga dual carriage Road, in a bid to upgrade major roads in the state.

According to the Chairman of the Infrastructure Monitoring Committee of the State, Ibrahim Balarabe, the 11 Kilometres road dualization project is to be fixed at the cost of  N403 million.

Balarabe, who disclosed this while inspecting facilities at the construction sites on Friday, assured residents that the work, to be fully completed by Monday, urged commuters to bear with the situation and any inconvenience as well as give maximum corporation towards the success of the project.

The project monitoring committee Chairman, further said the State Government opted for the construction Company, H&M Construction Company, due to its records for Quality and Standard projects in the Country.

“Though the maintenance of the road in question is the responsibility of the Federal government, but the state government has to take bold decision due to the  untold hardship experience by people plying the busy people,” Said Balarabe

The Committee Chairman however, said a special lane would be constructed to avoid gridlock at the commencement of work.
