Gubernatorial Candidates in Niger State North Central Nigeria have expressed willingness to accept the verdict of the election as long as the elections are free and fair.
The Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello after casting his vote at his polling unit in kontagora local government area of the State said:“I’m appealing to people to exercise their civic right in a peaceful manner and we should accept the outcome of the election in whatever form.”
The PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Umar Nasko who said the process of the election as impressive after casting his votes at Nasko Makaranta Unit in Magama local Government area of Niger State also mentioned that if the whole process across the state was free and fair.
“As a person I always accept the will of Allah and I will pray for whoever God Grant power I will always accept defeat.”
While Dr Joshua Bawa of the The APGA party from the same local government area with the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate. pointed out that despite little challenges in his polling Unit “Rana Gari” he said he would accept the verdict if the process is free and fair and acceptable by all .
Counting of votes is on-going across Niger Stàte in North central Nigeria.
