Niger State moves to boost security

The Local Government Chairmen in Niger State have been called to intensify security in their respective Councils, to curb the increasing wave of crime and criminality.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ahmed Matane made the call as government was taken drastic measures to checkmate the possible spread of violate attacks by bandits and other criminal activities in some North central states bordering Niger state.

Alhaji Matane told the chairmen that ”societies cannot achieve any meaningful development without necessary foundation to security and peaceful co-existence among the citizenry.”

He advised them to put in place proper coordination that can guaranty security and life and properties as well as fostering harmonious relationship among people staying in their domain.

“The present administration in the State is leaving no stone unturned in fashioning out strategies that will bring lasting solution as well as forestall any breach of security in the State,”Alhaji Matane said.

He however reiterated the need to uplift the living standard of the people through the provision of basic amenities in line with the development plan of the state Government within the rural Communities.
