The Niger state Government has warned communities across the riverine and urban centers of the state to be cautious of flooding due to recent heavy rain down pour experienced across the state.
The spokesman of the Niger State relief management agency Mr Ibrahim Hussian mentioned this while speaking to Voice of Nigeria on Wednesday in Minna the state capital.
He urged people in the urban centers of the state to henceforth, clean and build drainages and other water passages in their respective locations to avoid flash floods.
Mallam Hussain added that the Niger State Government has put in place actions necessary to ameliorate adverse effect of flood to lives and property across the state.
Reports by the Nigerian Hydrological Service Agency shows that Niger State is prone to experience flooding as a result of heavy down pour this year.
