The Nigerian Air Force has urged the media not to be bias in the reportage which could endanger the security of the country.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar who was represented by Chief of Administration, NAF Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Yahaya disclosed this in Abuja during one day workshop with the theme “Enlightenment Workshop for Defence Correspondents on Air Power”.

The Chief of Administration noted that “Information management in today’s world is critical in National development and the way of reporting could affect National security positively or negatively”.

He charged the journalists to know the terminology associated with the beat to report professionally.

The Director Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya who lectured Military-Media Relations said “mastering the beat would reduce the level of Ignorance in our reportage which would not give room for exaggeration”.

He said the military and the media are in partnership which would serve as the conscience of the people.
