Nigeria on Wednesday beat Niger 2-1 in the semi-finals of the WAFU U-17 Cup of Nations in Niamey.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 U-17 African Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
Goals from Akinkunmi Amoo and Olakunle Oluwasegun ensured that the Golden Eaglets secured a place in the final on Saturday against regional rivals Ghana, who defeated Ivory Coast 2-1 in the first semi-final clash of the day.
Five-time world U-17 champions Nigeria scored one goal in the first half through Amoo and added the second in the 58th minute after Oluwasegun scored from a solo effort.
Niger pulled one back in the 90th minute but could not get an equaliser in additional time to take the game to extra time.
The Eaglets began the tournament with a 3-2 loss to Burkina Faso in the first match but bounced back with a 5-1 win over Ivory Coast to top Group B. Wednesday’s win was their second of the competition.
