Nigeria Immigration set for migrants registration in Ogun State

The Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Ogun State command has concluded arrangements to flag off migrants registration programme in the state.

The NIS State  Controller Mrs  Doris Braimah made this known when she paid a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Mrs Braimah said the steps wound give the service the opportunity to know the comprehensive data of all foreigners Residing in Nigeria.

Mrs Braimah said that Nigeria immigration service would be more  proactive in checking immigrants and emigrants at nation’s borders towards ensuring that Country was devoid of illegal migrants.

She maintained that the service would collaborate with other security agencies towards ensuring that Nation’s borders were well policed.

Responding, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun while emphasizing that migrants registration programme was necessary, noted the need for NIS to intensify efforts towards ensuring that Nations borders were well protected to curb influx of illegal migrants.

Governor Abiodun who pointed out that his administration  would not condone crime and criminality, said the state government would continue to interface with the service for effective service delivery.
