Nigeria to invest N2.8trillion in Infrastructure development

The sum of two point eight trillion naira has been committed for different infrastructure project in various sites in Nigeria by the Ministry of Power Work and Housing.

Minister of State II for the Ministry, Suleiman Zarma made this known during the induction ceremony of two hundred and sixty-seven Surveyors who satisfied the requirement of the Surveyors Council of Nigeria professional examinations and are entitled to be registered as surveyors.

The Minister  said at an event in Abuja that there are ample opportunities in  different sectors in Nigeria where the surveyors can fit in and render service of development to the nation.

He therefore charged the inductees to use their professionalism experience and know where they can fit in, use their knowledge and deliver service to the country.

Meanwhile, the Minister as at 2017 during similar event was the Registrer of the Surveyors Council before his appointment as  Minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.

On his part, the president of the Surveyors Council of Nigeria, Joseph Agbenla advice the new surveyors on Valuable Continuous Education at all interval of times for this will be the barometers by which their expertise will be measured.

He also emphasized that they should be good ambassadors of the profession they are called to, shun corruption of all facet of life and work within the ethics of the profession.
