Nigeria presents candidate for IPI Board

The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Dr Qasim Akinreti with the UN official and delegate to the IPI World Congress in Geneva.

The Nigerian Delegation to the 2019 International Press Institute,IPI, World Congress in Geneva, Switzerland has presented Alhaji Maida Waida as its next representative in the IPI Board from Africa.

Alhaji Waida, a former Managing Director News Agency of Nigeria, NAN is expected to take over from Mallam Kabiru Yusuf.

The board meeting is coming ahead of the opening ceremony and General Assembly Of IPI at the UN headquarters in Geneva.

The Nigerian delegation is led by Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, Managing Director/CEO and Board member Daily Trust Newspaper and President, IPI Nigeria.

Others are; a former Editor Nigerian Tribune Newspapers and Media Consultant, Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, Sir Folu Olamiti; Publisher Blue Print Newspapers,  Alhaji Muhammed Idris; Former Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Steve Ayorinde and the Chairman Nigeria Union Of Journalists, Lagos State Council, Dr. Qasim Akinreti.
