Nigeria has emerged first and second in the Oguzhan Ozkaya Education Karademin Science, Engineering, and Energy Exhibition Fair (OKSEF) which held in Turkey.
Nigeria was represented by Nasarawa state in the Junior science category, while Imo and Ondo states represented the nation in the senior science categories.
Having won in Nigeria, the states were afforded the opportunity to represent the country in the junior and senior categories of the international event alongside other countries.
The participants from Nasarawa state who took part in the junior category of the competition emerged ahead of others while those from Imo and Ondo States who participated in the Senior category came second.
The five-day event held in Ismir, Turkey had representations from 60 countries with 4 from Africa comprising Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, and South Africa.
The event organized by OKSEF is hosted annually to encourage high school students to do scientific and technological research by bringing together young people from the same age group around the world to compete abroad. It also encourages them to enlarge their visions and have a say in the international platform.
