Nigerian Armed Forces reaffirms commitment to fight insurgency

The Nigerian Armed Forces has reaffirmed its commitment to continue the collaboration with Voice of Nigeria towards positive reportage of security challenges in the country.

To further strengthen the existing relationship between the two agencies of government, the New Acting Director of Defence Information, Colonel Onyeama Nwachukwu was in the corporate headquarters of Voice of Nigeria.

The Acting Director of Defence Information used the opportunity to speak on the successes recorded so far and how Voice of Nigeria has been of help in the battle against insurgency

Colonel  Nwachukwu said that “the strategic important of  managing information by the media has helped in National Security and restoring peace in the country”.

Colonel Nwachukwu added  that there is no way in the world where terrorism is completely wiped out.

In his respond, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr Osita Okechukwu commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for the successes recorded so far in the fight against insurgents.

Mr Okechukwu said “a lot has been done by the military in recovering areas captured by the boko haram”.

He said “government is making effort to create jobs and cut youths restiveness.”

Other people that graced the visit were men and women of Defence Headquarters and Voice of Nigeria Management staff.
