Nigerian Government despatches high level delegation to Dapchi

President Muhammadu Buahri has directed a high level delegation to visit Dapchi to ascertain the situation on ground and rejoice with the parents of the abducted girls released in the early hours of Wednesday March 21.

The delegation, comprising the Ministers of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammmed, Interior, Abdulrahman Danbazau, and State, Foreign Affairs, Khadija Bukhar Abba, is already on its way to Dapchi.

The trio were excused from the weekly Cabinet meeting, to proceed to Dapchi.

They are expected back in Abuja later in the day.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has confirmed an increase in the number of verified girls released on Wednesday to 101.

In a text message to State House Correspondents, the Minister said: “…as of now the number has increased to 101. However we may probably meet the girls in Maiduguri.”
