Nigerian government donates specialist hospital to Lagos

The wife of the Nigerian President, Mrs Aisha Buhari has unveiled a 149-bed Maternal and Child Centre in Lagos State.

The three-floor facility has two operating theaters, recovery rooms, sterilisation room, delivery room, consultation rooms, private and general wards, scanning room, side laboratory among others.

The facility located inside the Alimosho General Hospital in Lagos was built and donated by the Nigerian government through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals.

Mrs Buhari was represented by the Senior Special Adviser on Administration to the President, Dr. (Mrs) Hajo Sanni who was accompanied to the event by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Nigeria Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Pauline Talin among other dignitaries.
